The Value of Protection

Protection is far from a luxury. Life Insurance, Critical Illness Cover and Income Protection policies should be considered essential, especially if you have a family or dependents that rely on your income.

If you suffer a serious illness or injury, for example cancer, a heart attack or a stroke, you could lose your income, which could lead to you losing your home.

If it’s fatal, your loved ones might not be able to maintain their current lifestyle without your financial support.

But with the right level of life and protection insurance, you could be able to

  • Pay off your mortgage
  • Cover everyday living costs — rent, energy bills, groceries, transportation
  • Pay for replacement childcare
  • Cover school or higher education fees
  • Pay for specialist medical support

Even if you’ve already got life insurance and protection in place, it’s worth reviewing your current cover levels. Personal circumstances can change regularly, so it’s important to ensure your policy best suits your situation. Different policies come with different criteria and extra benefits, such as gym memberships, discounts at cafés and supermarkets, and unlimited GP consultations.
